Independence Day 2016

We went to stay with family at Pelican Lake for the 4th of July this year.  You had a GREAT time!

Mom and Dad's Anniversary

We went as a family to Hola Arepa and Milkjam Creamery for our 4th anniversary.  It was a good time and you were very entertained by the people next to us at dinner :)

 You weren't a huge fan of Mom's ice cream, but you liked Dad's!

Big Boy Target Run

First time sitting in the cart at Target!  You had a good time looking around at everything.  Then you tried to wiggle out of the seat so we had to hold you :)

Sitting Up

While we were on vacation, you worked super hard on your sitting skills.  You can officially sit on your own!  Such a big boy!

Vacation

You had your first vacation.  You stayed with Mom in Moorhead for a few days, then Dad joined us and we went to Pelican Lake.  It was rainy and cold, but we had fun all together!

Great Grandparents

You got to spend some extra time with Mom's grandparents.  They got some good cuddle time and reading, singing, and jumping too!  They love you and you LOVE them!

Sleeping

You have started sleeping in your Merlin's Magic Sleep Suit instead of your swaddle.  Taking it like a champ.  You usually wake up one or two times per night, unless you are sick.  You have even slept 8 hours straight now!

More food!

You are getting to try a new food each week! Yummy!

Jumperoo

Your favorite thing is to JUMP!  You jump in your jumperoo while we make dinner, eat breakfast, or just about anything where we can't hold you.  If we try to put you in a chair or lay you down, you get frustrated because you want to be jumping.  You even jump while we are holding you, while you are eating, and in the tub.

Happy Dude

You love your Daddy.  No one can get you giggling quite like him :)

5 Months

You are 5 months old!  A rolling machine.  You roll from your back to your tummy, then shout at us until we flip you over even though you can do it yourself :)

You are starting to show more interest in toys and LOVE books.  We can distract you in the car for 30 minutes by flipping through a book.

Your Bears "jersey" finally fits.  It's a little ahead of the football season :)

Memorial Day Weekend

For Memorial Day weekend, we made a roadtrip to Worthington, Minnesota for Dad's cousin Christian's graduation party.  We had a great time at the party and with family.  As usual, you impressed everyone with how nice of a boy you are and SO HAPPY!!!  You were stylin' in your UffDa shirt.  Adorable!

Kiwi Head

Mom's cousin Adam started calling you Kiwi Head because your hair looks like the brown fuzz on a kiwi.  The name stuck and now the whole family calls you that.  Super cute!

Driving and Family Time

While we were in the hospital visiting Auntie Tracie, you got to drive this awesome car!  You had lots of fun with the car and spending time with family.

Baptism

You were baptized on May 22nd, 2016.  Uncle Chase is your Godfather/sponsor.  So many family members and friends came out to celebrate you!  It was a beautiful day!

Trying Food

You have started trying food.  We started with oatmeal, which you liked almost right away.  We gave oatmeal to you for a few week alone to give you practice eating before giving you anything else.

Except ice cream :)  You aren't so sure about it!
