Sick!

You got your first cold. Just some congestion which made you super stuffed up and have a bit of a cough. Dad calls our bedroom the opium den because we pulled out all the stops. Noise machine still on, two Vicks diffusers, humidifier, fan, and your crib is propped at an incline. You aren't a big fan of the nose frida (or snot sucker as we call it). When we do it you cry and make a face like we are sucking your brains out, but you feel better after! You are still super happy through everything. The only time you struggle is when you are tired. You didn't sleep well on Sunday night from being so stuffed up, but even though you were a little cranky on Monday evening you just couldn't help smiling for us.

It turned into your first ear infection (both ears!). You went with Dad to urgent care and got some antibiotics. So far, you don't mind taking it, and you are starting to feel better. You have a pretty rough cough, but the doctor said it is from the drainage caused by the antibiotics.

Visit From Grandma

Grandma Nancy came to visit so Mom could go back to work. The first day was very hard, I cried a lot in the way in. You had so much fun with Grandma, that it got easier over the week. I got super happy pictures of you every day. She was impressed with how happy and smart you are!  You are learning so fast! This week you started to reach out and grab the toys on your chair and really like the jumperoo more. The last couple of weeks you suddenly decided you didn't like bottles any more, so we were nervous you would have a rough time when mom went back to work. No struggles! You took your bottles like a champ!

First Easter

You had your first Easter celebration!  It started out like any Sunday, you woke up for a bit, then went down for a nap.  But when you woke up, Grandma and Grandpa were here.  We had brunch then went to church.  We were running a little late, so we had to sit right next to the organ.  You weren't a huge fan of that, so you went outside to cuddle with Dad and take a little snooze.  You showed off your daycare room to Grandma and Grandpa, then we went down to Auntie Terry and Uncle Larry's house. You had quite the cute bunny costume, got an Easter basket with some books, bubbles, and a new toy in it, and got some cuddles from your cousins.  It was a fun day filled with family.

3 months

At 3 months old, you are only waking up once or twice in the night.  You are starting to reach for and grab toys, but you aren't quite sure what to do with them.  You love when you have animals on the feet of your clothes, it makes them extra fun to look at.

You are just starting to recognize us when we are away from you.  It makes it super sad to leave, but really fun to come home.
You love taking baths even more than before.  You kick and splash your arms, sending water flying around the big tub.  You are getting so much better at tummy time (but we still aren't super great with our camera).

Smiley Guy

At about 11 weeks, you turned into a super smiley guy. When I bring you to the Mom's group at the hospital, you notice the other babies and moms and smile away at them. You have also started to talk up a storm. When you notice something new, you tell us all about it. Your new favorite thing is to get your diaper changed (my how the times have changed) so you can be close to our faces and play and chat. Grandma DeeDee fights to be the one to change your diaper because it is so fun now!  You also started to hang out in your jumperoo this week. Your feet don't reach the floor to let you bounce, so we had to put an old computer under you to give you a boost.
